Ahead of My Time.

Eighteen years ago when I was an Art Director at Jostens, I did a cover for our Advisor and Staff magazine (a magazine for yearbook staffs compliments of Jostens) for the feature story about "Color". After some brainstorming with my Editor, my idea was to have a giant paint fight with yearbook students. We had the photographer clear a set, paint it white and the kids wore pretty much all white. We gave them buckets of paint and brushes and said "Have at it!" The results were fantastic! The kids had a blast and we had a fun, energetic cover that captured the spirit of the story we featured that month. (it was a fold out and unfortunately I don't have a copy! Arrrrrg!

Fast forward to 2018. I was just closing iTunes and noticed a featured album by YNW Melly titled I Am You. Take a look at it and compare it to my cover from 2000..... Yep, I'm way ahead of you Mr. Melly. Nice try, and feel free to copy my other work. Imitation is the best form of flattery. Next!
